On October 20, 2026, the Personal AI Health Alliance (PAIHA) was presented to Nashville’s health care community and to Norwegian health technology companies at HealthTech at the Edge, hosted by Trinetix in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Global Health Connector and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce organized the evening, in partnership with TxPulse and Innovation Norway. It brought together healthcare and technology leaders from both countries who share an interest in devices, wearables, data and AI.
In her opening remarks, Siri Borgen, Deputy Consul General of the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York, spoke about why Norway’s approach to innovation fits naturally with Nashville’s ability to take new ideas to scale.
A special announcement
Eric Thrailkill, Executive Director U.S. Operations at Global Health Connector, introduced PAIHA, which Qualcomm and Global Health Connector co-founded and announced at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit in September.
PAIHA brings together health systems, research universities, pharma, electronic health record providers, payers, government agencies and technology providers. The aim is to turn the continuous intelligence our devices already generate into timely, actionable insight, with AI running on the device itself. The alliance is built on three principles: Perceptive, Proactive and Proximal.
Five Tennessee organizations are members from day one: the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville Innovation Alliance, Peerbridge Health, Lirio and OmniBuds.
Partners on both sides of the Atlantic
The evening showed how PAIHA’s cross-Atlantic model works in practice. In Nashville, the Chamber opened doors to the local health care community. On the Norwegian side, Innovation Norway and the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York brought four companies to present their work, with John Vislosky of Innovation Norway moderating:
- Sonitor Technologies: real-time location for hospital assets, patient flow and staff safety
- Oivi: automated retinal screening in primary care, to catch diabetic eye disease earlier
- Laerdal Medical: simulation, resuscitation and training technologies for health care education
- Dossier Solutions: competency management for hospital staff training, skills and compliance
